View of frankpledge held there on Wednesday next before the festival of St Edward the king in the nineteenth year of the reign of King Edward the fourth after the conquest[1].

The presentation of the tithingmen concerning the cert fine: 9s; amercements 7d:
Robert Copshreve, John Copshreve, William Paes, Thomas Botervyle, John Pese, John Braunch, William Dorset, John Botervyle and Robert White, tithingmen there, sworn, present that they give to the lord king 9s concerning the cert fine at this view. And they present that the abbot of Missenden 3d and the prior of St John of Jerusalem in England 4d owe suit at this view and have made default. Therefore the very same men are in amercement, etc.

The presentation of the ale-tasters; amercements 11d:
John Kynge and William Kyng, ale-tasters there, sworn, present that John Dychefyld 4d, Lawrence Harryson 4d and William Daune 3d are common brewers of ale and have broken the assizes of the statute. Therefore they and each of them are in amercement, as is clear upon their heads, etc.

Isnampsted Cheyne concerning the cert fine of 12d:
Thomas Botervyle, constable, and John Whelpele, tithingman there, sworn, present that they give to the lord king 12s concerning the cert fine at this view, just as they ought to pay from ancient times, and they present that everything else is well, etc.

Chesham Boys; concerning the cert fine 2s; amercements 3d:
Thomas Axstell, constable, and William Clerke, and John Alby, tithingmen there, sworn, present that they give to the king 2s concerning the cert fine at this view, just as they ought to pay from ancient times. And they present that John Cheyne 3d, esquire, ought to come to this view and has made default. Therefore he is in amercement, etc. And that everything else is well, etc.
